I am Utsav Singh Rathour. A WordPress enthusiast. While that would complete my introduction more or less, I have to fill in this space, so I will take the liberty and write a little something about myself.
When I first started creating web pages, MS FrontPage and Geocities were the in-thing. Tables were how you formed layout and Flash, not JS was the go-to tool for banners and any kind of animation (ahh! the good old days). For many of you who do not know what they are, yes I have been for so long in this field. Also, you couldn’t go to Google for help. Why? Because it didn’t exist. Now just so you do not start imagining how old I might look, I will add my photo somewhere here. 🙂
After that brief history lesson on web, let’s get to the present. Right now I have been running (11 years and counting) a Digital Agency called Code Pixelz Media based in Lalitpur ( “Kathmandu” for people outside Nepal 😉 ) We are a WordPress powered company. This means WordPress powers all websites we work on and even the mobile apps that we build are powered by WordPress. Code Pixelz is a team of around 18 people and you can talk to any of them and they will try and turn any kind of discussion into a WordPress-focused discussion. That is how much we love WordPress here. Under the same company, we have a few products that we run.

Apart from that, I am also a certified Codeable Expert, which again is more or less like Tinder for WordPress. The Experts are hand-picked and selected after different levels of tests, so you know you are in safe hands. I also believe in giving back to the community that has helped us a lot, which is why I try to contribute as much as I can to the WordPress community here in Nepal and globally as well. I am a WordCamp organizer and have also spoken at many WordCamp events.
I was a Theme Review Team Key Reviewer, which means I helped in checking whether or not themes that were submitted to WordPress.org met the standards. I have helped translate WordPress to Nepali, I also have themes and plugins on the repository. One of our themes “Resortica Lite” once powered over 20,000 Resorts and Hotels websites worldwide. 🙂
